Events
In this column, we may review past events and how successful each of them
was.
March 4, 2006 – The first member retreat was held at DeVry University in
Miramar. After the presidents remarks we moved right into updates on all of
the committee. With a new rapid-fire brainstorming technique developed by
Avis Russ, our VP Operations we developed several recommended strategies for
each of the focus committees. These will be used by the committee chairs
develop and optimize their plans. Key committees were Golf Tournament,
Corporate Development, and 20th Anniversary.
July 9, 2005 - The South Florida Chapter held their mid-year retreat. We
opened with the President’s report followed by one of our membership
development seminars: Communications, How to Deal with People You Cannot
Stand. During the afternoon session, each committee reported their
accomplishment and worked on their plan for the next 18 months.
The seminar was so popular that the Chapter repeated it October 2005 at our
Development Seminar at JM Family Enterprise. Inc. in Deerfield Beach, FL.
